Rotation-Linked Carving Method
— From “Dedicated to Those Who Have Carved Their Soul into This World”
This unique carving method is said to have been created long ago by a carver troubled by his own perceived inadequacies.
Once mastered, it allows anyone—regardless of age or gender—to control the chisel with precision and power entirely their own.
The Essence of the Technique
The heart of this method lies in sharpening one’s concentration and reflexes, and transferring the strength of the wrist directly to the cutting edge.
It is made up of three interrelated carving techniques:
-
Finger-Solidification Synchronized Carving
-
Finger Compass Carving
-
Wrist Rotation Carving
When these three are integrated, they form what is known as the Rotation-Linked Carving technique.
More Than Technique: A Test of Self
This method has been passed down through oral tradition and hands-on training.
To truly master it, one must internalize the image of the motion and synchronize it with bodily movement.
It is a test not only of physical skill, but of one’s:
-
Calmness
-
Concentration
-
Observation
-
Personal flexibility
Once the feeling “clicks,” you’ll sense the flow of energy—and your carving will gain a level of precision and control you’ve never experienced before.
But This Is Only the Beginning
Even then, it is just the first step toward mastery.
Continued training, awareness, and dedicated practice are essential to reach deeper levels.
